Public Relations Director: Jaime Hughes

Jaime Hughes has only been on our Board of Directors since April but is slowly chipping away at making a bigger impact with the Fish Samaritan House community! Since then, and thanks to board member Mr. Frank Bellamy she was nominated as Fish Samaritan's new public relations director and has been more hands on than ever! It is not just public image to the media that is important it is also making sure that Fish Samaritan House is clean and presentable. Jaime spends her days tackling between contacting the media and scrubbing shelves at Fish.

"I believe a board member should do more than just sit and delegate. Get your hands dirty!"

Jaime is a 2007 graduate of Cardinal Mooney High School when during that time she was first introduced to Fish Samaritan House. "Our senior year, we were allowed to participate in a service course that allowed us to leave the school and go into our community and help out." A current YSU student with ambitions of getting a masters in Library Science, Jaime dedicates much of her free time to helping others. She is a part time volunteer at the Youngstown Museum of Labor and Industry, a part time archives assistant at Maag Library and also gives her time here and there to help homeless pets in our area get exersize and find good loving homes.

Jaime's main goal for Fish Samaritan House? "To provide Fish Samaritan House with a food pantry every single day (It is currently only open on Wednesdays), and to introduce Fish to those in our community that may not be aware of where we are and what we stand for."

Thank's Jaime for all you do within the community and for Fish!!
